Sometimes doing baby portraits can be a real pain. You would think thier decreased mobility would make things easier, yeah ok! Sebsatian is one of those babies that makes it easy though. Ok so I might of had to roll around on the ground for an hour but aside from that he really did well. I LOVE when they aren't fussy the whole time.

We had a really fun session with Ashleigh this weekend. This really proves how much location makes the pictures and how easy a location is to find. I was searching for a good location to shoot and was getting frustrated until my wife pointed out this bus which had been starting me in the face. Ashleigh really made my job easy! (So did my wife for finding this obvious location I had overlooked.)

Well I have had the same Toshiba laptop for about 4 years now and surprisingly enough it really wasn't all that dated. It might have only 516 megs of ram but aside from that it was still well in its prime at 2.4 ghz with a 17inch monitor. It also was in pristine condition. ASIDE from one thing. The darn AC Adapter.
Toshibas are notorious for the AC plug going out and guess what in order to fix it they have to replace the motherboard with cost just as much as a new one.
So after a little tinkering with the soldering gun I just decided to buy a new one. (Or maybe its the fact that it took me about 4 hours to get the darn thing apart) I am sure someone that is a little more technically inclined might be able to rig some crazy direct wires into the thing but honestly its just not worth it. Esp the thought of it breaking again just when you need it.
I got a nice little Sony VAIO. Small and light but not too small. 15inch screen should be plenty big enough for slide shows at weddings. The new Windows VISTA is pretty sweet and the built in photo slide show should be perfect. I am one of those people that really was skeptical about switching to VISTA, I just know its gonna have problems. A few friends mentioned only minor things and since you cant find a new laptop without it I guess I'll give it a try.

EVERY 15 SECONDS someone dies of a waterborne illness.
Thirst Relief is a great organization that helps provide clean drinking water to those in need around the globe.
Last night was the Thrist Relief benefit auction. We are so very happy to be a part of this cause. Our bid of 265.00, while small; will bring clean drinking water to over 50 people.
If gratitude and satisfaction for doing some small part to help others wasn't enough, as an added bonus we now have an opportunity to chat with Joy and Garrett Nudd. Joy and Garrett are a husband and wife photography team whose wedding clients take them all over the world. Their imagery is nothing short of amazing.
For a long time I have had a weighted heart to try and do more for others. This auction has really brought my desire to do this even further. I beseech you all to find a cause you believe in and do some small part to help a common good. No matter what that cause is find one and do more.
