I will never understand Mississippi weather! We had Cori and Mark's engagements scheduled for Sunday which was suppose to be 40 degrees. Luckily we got to change it to Saturday which turned out to be a gorgeous day with a better temp of 70! We started the session with Abbey, their rambunctious little dog. It was a challenge to get her to be still for any length of time, but we ended up with some cute shots of her. (thanks Mrs. Anderson for being the wrangler) One thing I love about contemporary photography is that almost anything goes. Cori found an old bicycle tire and jokingly asked to take a picture with it. That turned out to be one of my favorite shots!

I really enjoy when couples put so much of themselves and their history into their weddings. Katie and Rick's wedding took place at their historic family plantation home in Donaldonsonville, LA. The wedding was slated to take place under a grove of oak trees flanking the house, but it rained the entire day. Well not the entire day, as luck would have it...it only started raining the second we arrived. Katie was so amazing about it, taking the whole thing in stride and was all smiles the entire time. I really think it made for a very romantic and memorable day.

Jan and Ricky had a lovely wedding and they made sure to include the Lord in their union. This couple shines with Christ's love and their special day was no exception! This truly was a joyous occasion for all of their family and friends as well.

Here you have Jessica and Justin. One of their favorite hobbies is going to the movies, so they are basing their whole reception around this. Since we couldn't get in the theater at the time of their engagements, we did the next best thing and took them to the movie store. Fun shots! Also, their shoot wouldn't of been complete without some outdoor pictures just for Justin.

This was actually a rare wedding for me, in that Allison wasn't with me. She had a cold and couldn't make it. Aside from second shooting, Allison has been with me at every wedding I have shot. Being my assistant, sidekick, and major helper. She rarely complains as I bark orders and scurry through the day. Needless to say I was a bit nervous that she wasn't going make it. In the absence of my normal SUPER AMAZING helper and partner in crime (Alli), I had to solicit help from a few other people. So, thanks to Maggie,JP, and all the other bridesmaids, and groomsmen that gave me a hand.
Maggie and JP's wedding took place at the Cedars in Jackson. A very cute venue, nestled in (you guessed it) cedar trees. Funny thing...it smelled like (you guessed it) cedar trees. These guys had an amazing wedding and I attribute it to great style and a love for each other that shows greatly.
