Today, we got to go to a short workshop by Mike Ward and his wonderful wife Holly of Belle's Photography. Mike and Holly have a very distinct style. They love hard, contrasty, directional light! I actually did not know about this work shop until monday so it was a bit last minute for us. I am so glad we got a chance to go. It was really nice to shoot in a church without any pressure and just play around a little bit.
Again, since this was just for me and not a client I tried a few new things with the post work.
Thanks again to Mike, Holly, and everyone at the workshop, we had a blast!

Today we spent a few hours wondering the zoo. More or less just an excuse to be outside. I got to borrow a 600mm mirror lens that renders some great looking donut shaped bokeh.
Any way here is my view of the zoo.
Here is a shot my wife took of me handholding a 600mm mirror lens. You would be surprised how many actually came out in focus. It was a pain in the butt to use but fun none the less. I was amazed at the images I got with this lens even though its only about a 100 dollar lens. Thanks for letting me borrow it Chris.

Today I had the pleasure of photographing this little cutie....my niece! Perfect day and she was just really calm and easy to work with. She really hasn't been a fussy baby. Boy can she make some faces! I mean all babies seem to make gooffy faces but she tops em all so far.
Im really excited about getting to document this little girl growing up.
We love you Kadi and Sam!
