These guys rocked it! Luke and Andrea will be getting married May 10th and we just can't wait. A photogenic, laid-back couple that puts photography at the top of their priority list...a photographer can't ask for anything more.

Brooklyn and Travis opted to fly out to New Orleans to have an intimate ceremony with their closest friends and family. The romantic old world charm of the city coupled with a modern mixture of so many cultures was very fitting for Brooklyn and Travis. They stayed just off Royal Street in an awesome guest house that was a bar/grill/corner store/laundromat/bed and breakfast all rolled into one. This is the type of place that gives NOLA its charm and character, rich with texture and history. Their ceremony was a block away at the equally charming Feelings Cafe in a quaint little courtyard.

Have a great time in Buenos Aries!!

Jesse and Shauna had an amazing wedding in Baton Rouge! Mark Eric, the rock star photographer from LA, was in need of a second shooter and I am always happy to oblige him. This wedding was top notch all the way.

This is two incredibly lively and outgoing boys from Argentina. Nico and Agu came to visit their Aunt Emma in the states for a couple of months and we had the pleasure of spending time with them. They were very grateful to be here and showed it with their eager attitudes. I think they spoiled allison because they did all her house cleaning for her. It was fun learning a little bit of their culture and language. We look forward to seeing them next year!

We miss you Nicolas and Agustin!

This our lovely niece Kadi Mai. We don't get to see her much, so this was a special treat. Since she is chancing so much everyday we wanted to document this phase of her little life. She definitely gave us a wide range of emotions and facial expressions ranging from sweet smiles to hard core mean mugging. With her brown dress and the woodsy setting most of the pictures had a vintage feel to them. My favorite is the one of her hugging her doll, because it makes her look so sweet.

HAPPY DAY O' LOVE!
If anyone happens to get engaged or if you know someone who gets engaged on this day of the love, keep us in mind for your wedding photography. It's never too early to start planning. If your guy asked you to be his forever love today (or you asked him, it's modern times), we want to reward you for being so romantic. So the hopeless romantics get a special somethin somethin!!

Now to my valentine... Allison, thank you so much for being the most wonderful wife a guy could ask for. You support me, encourage me, and are always there for me. Thank you so much for everything that you do. No amount of words could every truly say how much I love you!

Saturday we made a trip to Starkville to meet with an AMAZING bride, Whitney! We can not wait for her wedding... it's going to be a BLAST! We would also like to say thanks to her mother and sister for teaching us a little bit about the bride's spunky personality!

On the way home I saw this road. It is one of those simple scenes that I really love.

Allison saw me editing the file and had to comment on the fact that I filled in some trees and removed a light pole. We playfully bickered a bit about the use and over use of photoshop. This is a good example of my philosophy on using photoshop.

When I edit an image I am not editing for what was there, but what I SAW. The reality of a scene and what my mind's eye shows me are two different things. Some of this is seeing what it could be and some is my mind removing the clutter. This particular scene, I saw as simple and clean. I think I achieved that.

This is an image from last year that I entered into a recent contest the Wedding Photography Project was hosting. They did not specify places but it looks like we got 8th place! All the images that won are simply amazing. I am honored to be among such great talent.

I want to give props to Cory Porris not only because he was one of the judges to pick our image but for setting up the Wedding Photography Project. There are numerous blogs and websites on the web devoted to advancing photography, more specifically wedding photography. Sites like these continue to push the industry forward and ultimately make us better photographers for our clients.

a little more press for ttd and us.

several months ago I did a phone interview about Trash The Dress with Tara Bradley the Managing Editor of Destination Weddings & Honeymoons magazine. The article is finally out in this special edition. I really love this magazine! Even if you aren't having a "destination" wedding, you will find some great info relevant to any wedding in the magazine. It is also a great resource if you are having a beach or outdoor wedding, weather that's in your back yard or half way across the world.

Our first promo video!

In order to help our clients get a better idea of who we are and what we do we have worked with an amazing videographer to create a little promo video for the website. So take a look and let us know what you think.

Thanks to Kristen, Christian, Chris, and esp Azod of Vidoza!!

Our first bridal show. I want to start by thanking all the brides that stopped by our booth and the vendors that we were able to meet during the day. I really wish we would of had more time to talk to all the vendors, but I am sure things were just as hectic for them as well.

This was definitely an experience for us. As all our clients know, I am not the pushy salesman type. We perfer a one on one environment so that I can adequately express my passion for photography and for providing our clients the absolute best products and experience. We did meet several brides with great style and we really hope to hear from them. The best enviroment to really get to know us, and learn if we fit as your photographer would be a consultation. If you would like to setup a consultation just give us a call at 601.317.0595

Finally thanks to everyone that helped get things together for the show. Thanks to Alli, Chris, Chance, Augustine, and Nico. Also thanks to guys at VisionArt for making haste on a last minute order after a client bought what was to be a demo album.

(afterthought: take images before the end of the day when your tired.)
